A12 voltage - sounder voltage
On my last few runs, I've gotten messages on the A12 when I go to look at downvision about low voltage.

I confirmed voltage at the connection to my fuse block between 13.4 and 14.7 variant on if on chargers or running. This is where the stock wiring of my A12 plugs in.

When I look at the maintenance/device detail, I see at low as 11 or 10 - when at the connection - it's the 13-14v.

I have an A7 also in this configuration, and see similar.

Why would the voltage at the wire connection show OK - but the displays are complaining about low voltage?

Thank you

RE: A12 voltage - sounder voltage
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum psubill78,

Don't confuse voltage with power. MFDs which are utilizing their internal fishfinder processor will invariably draw more power than a MFD which is not utilizing its internal fishfinder processor. The gauge of the wire/cable used to supply the circuit or use to extend the circuit to the MFD's power cable may also limit the power supplied to the MFD. Should the wire/cable of the proper gauge be used and should the problem persist and all electrical connections be tight and free of corrosion, then it would be recommended that the vessel be connected to shore power, that its batteries be permitted to reach a fully charged state, and then while still connected to shore power, the system should be tested again. Should the problem persist, then it would be recommended that the MFD to which the DownVision transducer has been connected be sent to Raymarine’s Product Repair Center to be bench checked / serviced. However, should the problem not be able to be duplicated while connected to shore power, then it would be recommended that the vessel's batteries be load tested and replaced and/or additional battery capacity be added to support the power needs of the marine electronics.
