[CA11] P70 continuous reboot cycle
The P70 is constantly rebooting itself. I've removed it and powered it on a bench up to 13.2V and while it is stable when untouched it then reboots as soon as I try to press buttons on it.
I tried to update the software but it is not stable enough on the network to be seen by the MFD. I will next update the MFD software to the latest to see if that helps but if the P70 is unstable even when off the network on its own supply that seems to be a bigger problem. |

RE: [CA11] P70 continuous reboot cycle
Welcome the Raymarine Forum Denis+Ellis,
Unfortunately, the reported symptoms are typically indicative a circuitry failure within the p70 Autopilot Control Head. It is accordingly recommended that p70 be sent to Raymarine’s Product Repair Center to be bench checked / serviced or that it be replaced with a p70S Autopilot Control Head (successor to the p70 Autopilot Control Head). |

RE: [CA11] P70 continuous reboot cycle
Thanks Chuck;
Can I just send it off or do I need to open a ticket or such first? |

RE: [CA11] P70 continuous reboot cycle
Denis+Ellis,
You will need to book a repair via the Book a Repair link found here. Upon completion, a shipping label will be produced to permit the p70 to be shipped to Raymarine. |
