Sonar Transducer Losing Connection
I'm having problems with my B256 transducer losing connection with my e125 MFD. Is there a troubleshooting procedure that I can use to check the transducer from the connector end?

RE: Sonar Transducer Losing Connection
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Bradley,

Please note that the e95 cannot be directly interfaced to a fishfinder transducer, as it has no internal fishfinder circuitry. Please state the model of fishfinding product which the fishfinder transducer has been interfaced to.

Right, sorry about that. It's a DSM300.

Bradley,

What specific message is the MFD's fishfinder screen reporting?

Message says "No transducer connected. Connect a transducer and restart the unit".

RE: Sonar Transducer Losing Connection
Bradley,

Thanks for confirming the message. The reported symptom may be indicative of a problem within the DSM or with the transducer itself. This problem would typically be fault isolated by testing the DSM with another compatible transducer which was known to be operational. Alternatively, the DSM may be sent to Raymarine’s Product Repair Center to be bench checked / serviced.
