STS 6100 autopilot plus furuno gp-30
Someone stole my fluxgate compass off my boat, cut the wire and unbolted it go figure. Of course my auto pilot doesnt work without a compass anymore.
My question is when I hook up my furuno GP-30 to the 6100 on NMEA m -+ I still get "no comp" on the control unit. Doesn't the 6100 take the RS232 output from my furuno Yellow and Blue wires? I think I need to reprogram the 6100 to take input from the NMEA side but don't know how. Alternatively I could use a PC to output GPS to the 6100 but that still would mean (I think ) I need to re program the inputs for the 6100. Any help would be great thank you. |

RE: STS 6100 autopilot plus furuno gp-30
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum lookingglass1970,
Some models of Raymarine autopilot course computers were designed to support use with a 4800 BAUD NMEA 0183 heading source supporting an update rate of at least 10Hz. What model of autopilot course computer is the ST6001 autopilot control head interfaced to? |
