Wifish connection problems
Been having problems getting the wifish to connect with navionics on my ipad. Sometimes it connects, sometimes not.
The wifi connection light is slow flashing blue, but the power light is slow flashing orange. Nowhere in the literature do I see anything about an orange light.
Anyone have any ideas?

RE: Wifish connection problems
trecamp,

The Status LED of the Wi-Fish will be red when power is first applied and then will flash green. Should the Wi-Fish then not detect that the Wi-Fish mobile app or Navionics Boating app is communicating with the Wi-Fish, then its Status LED will flash amber. Should the Wi-Fish mobile app or Navionics Boating app later establish communications with the Wi-Fish, then its Status LED will flash green.

It is recommended that the Wi-Fish be tested with Raymarine Wi-Fish mobil app.

NOTE: only one compatible app may communicate with the Wi-Fish or Dragonfly product at any time. Accordingly, should one desire to run the Navionics Boating app, then it should be verified that Raymarine's Wi-Fish app has been closed on the mobile device. Similarly, should one run desire to run Raymarine's Wi-Fish app, , then it should be verified that the Navionics Boating app has been closed on the mobile device.

When the Wi-Fish mobile app is executed for the first time, the mobile device's Wi-Fi should be connected to the Internet to permit the app to register itself ... nothing need be done other than to start the app and then close if after the app fails to connect to the Wi-Fish. After doing so, the mobile device's Wi-Fi settings configured to connect to the Wi-Fish's SSID (printed on a decal affixed to the body of the Wi-Fish). Thereafter, one need only verify that the Wi-Fish is powered ON (check that its status LED is ON and if not press its POWER button to turn it on), configure your mobile device's Wi-Fi settings to connect to the Wi-Fish's SSID, and then finally, run the Wi-Fish app. Should your mobile device's Wi-Fi settings not list your Wi-Fish's SSID and your Wi-Fish be powered ON, then there would appear to be a fault with the Wi-Fish, necessitating that it be sent to Raymarine’s Product Repair Center to be bench checked / serviced.
