Radio Connector
I've had two Raymarine radios in my SeaRay boat. The OEM radio was a DSC 215. The replacement was a DSC53. Both had a female connector on the wiring harness that pugged directly into my boat. Are these standard Raymarine connectors or perhaps from SeaRay? If they are Raymarine, where can I buy one?

Thank you,

David

RE: Radio Connector
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum dhill67,

The Ray215 and Ray53 VHF radios were designed to use the same wiring harness. These VHF radios were manufactured with a relatively short cable assembly terminating in a nylon 6-pin plug. A matching 6-pin plug of the opposite gender with bare wire leads was also included and intended to be interfaced to the vessel's power and marine electronics system. These plugs are not available from Raymarine. However, these may be replaced with commonly available male/female 6-pin plugs (naturally each side will need to be replaced). Such plugs are readily available from marine suppliers such a Gemeco.
