EV100 Compatibility
I am planning to replace my old ST4000 on my sailboat with the EV100 wheel drive. Is there any way to incorporate my Garmin GPSMAP 4008 into the EV100? Right now the ST4000 stands alone but I thought I'd check to see if EV100 could be incorporated.

RE: EV100 Compatibility
What interfaces does the Garmin unit have available? Does it have NMEA 0183 or NMEA 2000? The EV-100 is a Seatalk NG/NMEA 2000 device.

RE: EV100 Compatibility
Is the Garmin plotter connected to other devices through the NMEA 2000 backbone?
The reason for the question is, if not you can just connect the Garmin plotter into the Seatalk NG backbone, established by the EV-100 Evolution autopilot. Using the DeviceNet to Seatalk NG adapter cable, either Female (A06075) or Male (A06076) depending on the Garmin connector. |
