RE: [CA11] Quantum 2 to Axiom
Gregg,

Quantum has proven to be an exceptional program with respect to reliability of communications. Most communications problems encountered are the result of the Quantum radome having gone to into sleep mode after not sensing the presence of a MFD for ten minutes. This condition is not uncommon in systems where the Quantum radome has not been powered from a dedicated, switched power circuit. Should the Quantum radome's power circuit be switched OFF when when the MFD is not in use then such problems should not arise. The dedicated, switched power circuit also permits the Quantum radome from being awaken from sleep mode without affecting the power state of the system's other devices.

When it comes to Wi-Fi communications between the MFD, attention to determining the level of Wi-Fi signal strength sensed from the MFD at the proposed installation location prior to installation of the Quantum radome is another factor for such reports. As Wi-Fi circuits differ between models of Wi-Fi equipped MFDs, it is certainly possible that one may find differences in Wi-Fi performance between different models of MFDs.
