SD card lost inside Axiom 12

I updated the new Navionics SD card (3XG charts) and tried to install it in the Axiom 12 MFD. The SD card slot on the back of the Axiom 12 on this boat is difficult to reach and see at the same time. I missed the card slot and hit the space above it. When I tried to extract the card from this slot, it dropped inside the unit.

Can I get the SD card out? I've now spent several hours extracting the MFD from the helm, but there's no obvious way to open it.

Can I load the Navionics charts on a new SD card and install it, leaving the original card inside the unit?
