Updating: Ray230 to Ray260
Besides the cabling issues I face with a dual helm instillation, what connectivity issues should I be prepare for in this process? Current MFDs and auto pilot on my Sealine F43/5 motoryacht are (circa 2004) a Pathfinder RL80s and auto pilot. Although I have yet found the connection block, all appears to be NMEA 0183/Seatalk. Both Nmea0183 and Seatalk plugs are in use.

Please advise.

Thank you.

RE: Updating: Ray230 to Ray260
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum FPCJR2,

As the Ray260 also features a NMEA 0183 communications interface, the NMEA 0183 input leads of this interface would need to be interfaced to a source of GPS data supporting NMEA 0183 communications. Two such sources of GPS data from the equipment period specified would be the NMEA 0183 output leads of a C/E-Series Classic MFD's MFD NMEA 0183 Cable or the NMEA output leads of a hsb/hsb2/Pathfinder Series Display's NMEA 0183 Output Cable. Should a C/E-Series Classic MFD be installed onboard and should you additionally desire to have the MFD be able to create waypoints using the coordinate provided within DSC position reports, then it would additionally be recommended that the the NMEA 0183 output leads of the Ray260 be interfaced to the NMEA 0183 input leads of the MFD NMEA 0183 Cable of a C/E-Series Classic MFDs.
