[CA11] Raymarine upgrade
Hello everyone!
We’re buying the sailing Cat Lagoon 400 2011-2012 with original Raymarine electronics.
Boat has E120W chart plotter , Radar ,2x ST70 instrument ,SPX30 autopilot with p70 control head and installed in 2016 AIS650.

We want to upgrade chart plotter and radar and install new 12 Axiom pro S with quantum 2 radar.

Could you advice if we would need to buy some additional stuff like converter , adaptor and cables or it’s plug and play with existing system.

Thank you in advance

Best Regards
Victor

RE: [CA11] Raymarine upgrade
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Victor,

With respect to interfacing the Quantum 2 Radome to the Axiom Pro S MFD, the currently installed Ethernet cables (i.e. Digital Radar Cable & SeaTalkhs cables) may be left in place. The SeaTalkhs cable would simply be unplugged from the E120W's SeaTalkhs Socket and then adapted (A80160) to be mated to one of the Axiom Pro MFD's two Ethernet Network sockets. The currently installed Digital Radar Cable may be adapted (A80308) to be mated to the Quantum 2 radome as well. Assuming that the 2x ST70 instrument, SPX30 autopilot with p70 control head, and AIS650 had all been interfaced to the E120W via a powered and properly terminated SeaTalkng / NMEA 2000 backbone, then it would simply be necessary to replace the SeaTalkng Spur Cable presently used to interface the E120W to the backbone with an A06075 39.4in (1.0m) DeviceNet (F) to SeaTalkng Spur Adapter.
