[CA11] ST60+ TWS from GPS
I have a ST60+ Wind, ST60+ Tridata with DST800V Triducer and an ST60+ Graphic Display, all inter-connected via Seatalk cables. I recently purchased a Standard Horizon GX1700 VHS radio with built-in GPS. The radio can output GLL, GGA, GSA, GSV and RMC NMEA sentences. If I connect the radio NMEA output wires to the ST60+ Graphic Display NMEA input connection, is it possible to have the ST60+ Wind instrument calculate TWS using the GPS data rather than the DST800V data?

Thanks,
Jeremy

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Jeremy,

Please click here to view a FAQ addressing this subject. As indicated therein Speed (through water) will only be used to calculate True Wind by your ST60+ Wind instrument.
