[CA11] Max Rudder Defection/Time to Hard Over
Installing an EV150 but cannot find the above info to complete the dockside calibration. Where would I get that info? I have an analog rudder indicator that may or may not be accurate. The gauge only gives position but it does not indicate degrees just left or right.

RE: [CA11] Max Rudder Defection/Time to Hard Over
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Sadey,
The default screen of the autopilot control head shown below includes a rudder bar at the top of the screen specifying rudder deflection in degrees to port or starboard. Should the rudder be positioned more than 30 degrees to port or starboard when the autopilot is powered on, then the autopilot will not report rudder angle and may report NO RUDDER. When setting the Rudder Limit configuration setting, this value must not exceed 30 degrees and should be configured to 4 degrees less than the minimum rudder angle indicated by the rudder bar feature when the rudder is moved fully to port or starboard by the wheel or tiller. |
