[CA11] Axiom Pro - Radar Dual Range without Split Screen
After upgrading from e-series to Axiom Pro (master plus two slaves) we find that dual range radar operation between our two slaves does not seem to be possible unless one of them is operating in split screen mode. Is there a way to allow separate ranging between the two slaves without using split screen mode? The manual talks about this on P192 but does not go into much detail.

RE: [CA11] Axiom Pro - Radar Dual Range without Split Screen
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Type1,

The dual range feature does indeed function when operated on slaves. I suspect that the problem may be that you are using the same Radar page icon from the Home screen to launch the Radar application. Please note that these Home screens are shared. Operating in dual range may be accomplished via either of the following means on the slave MFDs:

- customize a second page icon on the Home screen to launch a full page Radar application. On one of the slave MFDs, launch the radar app from one of these full page Radar applications from the first Radar icon and on the second slave MFD, launch the radar app from second of these full page Radar applications from the second Radar icon. Configure the Radar application's Dual Range setting (MENU->SETTINGS->TRANSMISSION->DUAL RANGE) to ON. Configure the Radar application on one slave MFD's Dual Range Channel 1 (MENU->SETTINGS->TRANSMISSION->DUAL RANGE->CHANNEL 1) to ON and configure the Radar application on the second slave MFD's Dual Range Channel 2 (MENU->SETTINGS->TRANSMISSION->DUAL RANGE->CHANNEL 2) to ON.

- customize a page icon on the Home screen to launch a two-pane Radar application page. Open the two-pane Radar application page on both slave MFDs. Configure the Radar application's Dual Range setting to ON. Configure the Radar application on one slave MFD's Dual Range Channel 1 to ON and configure the Radar application on the second slave MFD's Dual Range Channel 2 to ON. Command one of the MFDs to display the left pane of this page as full screen image and the other MFD to display the right pane of this page as a full screen image by holding down the screen/page switcher button of the RMK when the desired pane is active.

RE: [CA11] Axiom Pro - Radar Dual Range without Split Screen
Thanks Chuck, that worked well. Now that we have a radar app set up on Ch1 on one MFD and another radar app set up on Ch2 on another, is it possible to set up a different home page for each MFD to avoid the possibility of starting both on the same channel?

RE: [CA11] Axiom Pro - Radar Dual Range without Split Screen
Type1,

Home page layouts are shared among the system's MFDs. Accordingly, any changes to the page icons on the home screen of one MFD should be reflected in the home screens of each of the system's MFDs. As such, should you have created two Radar application page icons on the home screen of one MFD, then each of the system's MFD should also display these same to Radar application page icons on their respective home screens.
