[CA11] RV-100 Rated Power
Hi, Currently have an Axiom 9, with RV-100 Transducer. I seem to be maxed out at about 100m using Sonar, So i am looking to fit another transducer with a Y cable.
When I purchased this Axiom, i was under the impression that the RV-100 is a 600w high chirp. But after some more reading it appears its actual power is alot less? I Dont want to fit another transducer to find similar depth performance, so can you please confirm the output power of the RV-100. Cheers, Luke. |

RE: [CA11] RV-100 Rated Power
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Luke,
Please click here to view a FAQ addressing this subject. As indicated within the referenced FAQ, the low power / high frequency CHIRP element of the RealVision, DownVision, and CPT-S transducers will output 200W. Axiom DV MFDs and Axiom RV MFDs feature an internal 600W 50kHz/200kHz fishfinder circuitry as well, permitting the MFD to simultaneously be interfaced to a compatible 50kHz/200kHz fishfinder transducer via a Y-Cable to support fishfinding in deeper waters than are supported by the RealVision transducers. I recommend using a fishfinder transducer designed for use with a CP370 Digital Sounder Module, as they have the greatest level of compatibility with Raymarine products. The A80492 Y-Cable would be used in systems featuring a RealVison transducer and a fishfinder transducer designed for use with a CP370 Digital Sounder Module. |
