[CA] [CA11] Replace C80 with Axiom 9

RE: [CA11] Replace C80 with Axiom 9
"The c80 can be replaced with an AXIOM display, do you have a radar or sonar connected to the the c80 since this may affect what version of AXIOM you require, but in principle there is a straightforward upgrade to the c80, the AXIOM can use an adapter panel - A80564, however, if you chose the AXIOM PRO version, you would need to fabricate some form of new dash panel for the new display due to the different form factor - size and shape"

I found this as an answer in a previous thread. I have been unable to locate an adapter plate to convert from C80 to Axiom 9RV. Is this available? I cannot find it on the Raymarine website.

Thanks again

TiaraCory,

Since the introduction of the Axiom MFDs, Raymarine has been incrementally adding adapter plates for Axiom upgrades. Raymarine now offers the A80564 Adapter Plate to replace a C80/E80 MFD with and Axiom 9 MFD. If not within the a Raymarine dealer's inventory, this accessory should be capable of being ordered from the dealer.

RE: [CA11] Replace C80 with Axiom 9
To confirm:

This is the SeatalkNG backbone currently installed on the boat. I will require a A06082 to connect the Axiom RV to this backbone via a white socket.

I would also like to connect the Airmar B60 transducer directly to the unit. What adapter is required to do this?

Thanks

RE: [CA11] Replace C80 with Axiom 9
Cory,

Q1. This is the SeatalkNG backbone currently installed on the boat. I will require a A06082 to connect the Axiom RV to this backbone via a white socket.
A1. As each of the backbone's spur sockets is presently occupied, you're going to need to add an additional spur socket to the backbone to accommodate the Axiom MFD. As you have suggested the NMEA 2000 leg of the Axiom MFD's Power/NMEA 2000 Cable must be adapted to be mated to one backbone's spur (white) sockets. Any one of the following means may be used to adapt the cable's DeviceNet (M) plug to be mated to a spur socket within one of the backbone's networking components:
- A06045 / 15.7in (0.4m) SeaTalkng Spur to DeviceNet (F)
- A06075 / 39.4in (1.0m) SeaTalkng Spur to DeviceNet (F)
- A06082 DeviceNet (F) to SeaTalkng (M) Adapter and an appropriate length of SeaTalkng Spur Cable (total length of the spur must not exceed 6m ... be certain to include the length of the MFD's Power/NMEA 2000 Cable).

Q2. I would also like to connect the Airmar B60 transducer directly to the unit. What adapter is required to do this?
A2. If the B60 transducer had been used successfully with the DSM and no RealVision Transducer will be interfaced to the Axiom RV MFD, then the A80489 Adapter would be used to mate the B60 transducer to the Axiom RV MFD's TRANSDUCER socket. If the B60 transducer had been used successfully with the DSM and a RealVision Transducer will additionally be interfaced to the Axiom RV MFD, then the A80492 Y-Cable would be used to mate the B60 transducer and RealVision Transducer to the Axiom RV MFD's TRANSDUCER socket.
