Axiom & a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFD waypoint, route, track, and comment constraints
Axiom & a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFD and Dragonfly waypoint, route, track, and comment constraints
Raymarine offers Voyage Planner PC navigational planning software to facilitate planning waypoints and routes for the following Raymarine chartplotting products: - Axiom Pro MFDs - Axiom MFDs - a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFDs - Dragonfly displays supporting chartplotting features - G-Series GPM400 (retired) - E-Series Widescreen MFDs (retired) - C-Series Widescreen MFDs (retired) - E-Series Classic MFDs (retired) - C-Series Classic MFDs (retired). When planning waypoints and routes (particularly when using a third party navigational planning product to do so) care must be taken to ensure that the following Raymarine product constraints are adhered to: Constraints for Axiom MFDs, a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFDs, and Dragonfly Displays: - Maximum number of waypoints: ----- a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFDs and Dragonfly Displays: 3000 ----- Axiom & Axiom Pro MFDs: 10,000 - Waypoint/Route/Track Name Length: 16 characters (DO NOT USE APOSTROPHE (') OR DOUBLE QUOTE (") CHARACTERS) - Duplication of waypoint, route, or track names prohibited - Waypoint comments: 32 characters (DO NOT USE APOSTROPHE (') OR DOUBLE QUOTE (") CHARACTERS) - Routes: ----- Dragonfly Displays: N/A ----- a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFDs and Dragonfly Displays: 150 routes; 200 waypoints per route; routes must not use the same waypoint for consecutive points within the route ----- Axiom & Axiom Pro MFDs: 250 routes; 500 waypoints per route; routes must not use the same waypoint for consecutive points within the route - Tracks: 10,000 points per track; 15 tracks max UPDATE: Raymarine has ceased sales of Voyage Planner software through Raymarine's Charts Store and through its dealers. A limited number of boxed copies of the Raymarine Voyager Planner software may be found within dealer inventories. While Raymarine has not yet announced a replacement planning application, it is quite possible that Raymarine may do so in the future. At this time, Navionics is recommending Navigation Planner PC planning software for its customers. Navigation Planner features support for Raymarine product and their waypoint symbol sets. If simply seeking to edit waypoint information and it is recommended that GPS Utility be considered for this purpose. RAYFAQ# |
