[CA11] A95 Touchscreen not working
In the last 2 to 3 weeks we have been having a problem with the touchscreen on our A95 multifunction display. Sometimes it will freeze up and not work, other times it acts like someone else is controlling the screen and it goes crazy. When either one of these issues happens we usually wait a few minutes and if it does not correct itself we turn it off and restart it, which will correct the problem 50% of the time.

We have this issue multiple times in a 10 hour travel day.

I have tried cleaning the screen multiple times and have also done a factory reset, and neither one has worked.

please help!

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum stiggy456,

Please click here to view a FAQ addressing this subject. Should the symptom be manifesting themselves when operating under temperate / dry conditions, then it would be recommended that the MFD be sent to Raymarine’s Product Repair Center to be bench checked / serviced.

RE: [CA11] A95 Touchscreen not working
The screen does it both when it is raining and when it is completely dry. As, for during rough seas, we have been motoring down the inland river system for the last 2 months so there has been no ruff water since this issue has started.

RE: [CA11] A95 Touchscreen not working
stiggy456,

Rough seas are not a factor in such determinations for a HybridTouch user interface. However, blue water conditions are more likely to subject the product to the wet and/or cold conditions which would favor use of a MFD having a HybridTouch user interface. Should the problem be occurring under temperate conditions where the MFD's screen is dry, then it is recommended that the MFD be serviced by Raymarine's Product Repair Center.

RE: [CA11] A95 Touchscreen not working
I just talked to tech support and they stated that it sounded like a hardware issue and I have to send it in for repair.

Hi Stiggy456, I’m having the same problem with my touchscreen. Did you get your unit repaired? Any idea what the problem was?

RE: [CA11] A95 Touchscreen not working
stiggy456,

Unfortunately as this is a technical support group, we do not have access to repair records. However, you may look up your repair status by heading to Raymarine’s Partner Portal, logging into the Portal, and using the option therein to look up your repair status. Alternatively, you may contact the Repair Center at 603-324-7900 to obtain this information.

RE: [CA11] A95 Touchscreen not working
We are facing the same issue.
The A95 touchscreen is regularly going crazy. Sometimes first ten minutes after booting are fine, but later it goes crazy doesn't allow any inputs and we need to restart. But after restart it is still behaving oddly. So we need to wait several minutes to use it for another ten minutes. Cleaned the surface, checked power supply and cabling without success.
Any suggestions or problem solving advice?
Firmware 19.02

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum J.Porwol,

Should the reported symptom occur under temperate, dry conditions, then it would unfortunately indicate that the MFD has suffered a failure of its touchscreen necessitating that it be sent to Raymarine’s Product Repair Center to be bench checked / serviced.
