[TG11] AX8 -> gs195 via ethernet port (PoE)
Hello,
I have two questions, thank you for your time: 1. what is a cable part number for a direct connection of Flir AX8 camera to gs195 MFD (Lighthouse 3.0 installed)? 2. remote control RMK-9 with external power thru SeaTalkHS, should work with above mentioned gs195 MFD? |

Hello Gilberto,
Quote:1. what is a cable part number for a direct connection of Flir AX8 camera to gs195 MFD (Lighthouse 3.0 installed)? The AX8 uses an M12X connector for its ethernet and power. You would need an M12X - RJ45 cable, and then an RJ45 - Raynet (which is what the gS uses.) An M12X cable (2m) is supplied with the AX8 or you can get a 5m cable as part A80352. The AX8 also comes with a 3m Raynet-RJ45 cable. The two would normally be connected together with the supplied PoE injector, but you may want to get your own RJ45 joiner since you can get PoE from the gS195. Quote:2. remote control RMK-9 with external power thru SeaTalkHS, should work with above mentioned gs195 MFD? If you are connecting directly to gS then that will supply PoE, in which case you should disconnect the separate RMK power supply. If you are connecting via an HS5 switch then you will need to leave the RMK power connected as the HS5 does not pass PoE through. Regards, Tom Raymarine since 1999. Hello Gilberto,
Straight-through. Everything we've made since the E-series Classic displays uses straight-through cables and connections. Regards, Tom Raymarine since 1999.
