Radome for an A75 chartplotter touchscreen
Hi!
I would like you to suggest a Radome Radar compatible with the A75 chartplotter I have already installed on board. If you could supply some alternatives please. It is for a 2011 Beneteau Oceanis 43 Thanks |

RE: Radome for an A75 chartplotter touchscreen
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum guskapa,
We typically recommend the Quantum radomes for sailing applications as these radomes feature excellent close-in imaging and very low power consumption. However, is seeking to use the radar to monitor storms or should you require dual range capability, then it would be recommended that a RD418HD or RD424HD High Definition radome be purchased. |

RE: Radome for an A75 chartplotter touchscreen
thanks Chuck!
Yes dual range is needed...I will look for the RD418HD then. Do I need cable from the radome to the A75 chart plotter for installation or is it possible to manage it wireless. Not sure if the A75 has wi fi connection.. I am actually in Peru now and will pick up the boat in 2 weeks from St Marteen so we need to run on this. Do you have a link for the operation manual of the A75 + Radome? Thanks for your help! |

RE: Radome for an A75 chartplotter touchscreen
guskapa,
Only Raymarine's Quantum radomes are wireless. Raymarine's Digital and HD Digital Radomes require that a Digital Radar Cable be installed. Please click here to view a FAQ addressing how to add radar features to an a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFD. |
