This may be a double post,however I did not receive confirmation that the first one was sent.
Hi Chuck, I'm hoping you can clear up a bit of confusion I have re. compatibility,i.e., I have a type 300 CC and a newly installed ST8001 display.Before I begin any diagnoses of the symptoms,described below,I'd like you read and disagree (I hope) with a previous post from the old RM forum: START – Permalink Reply by Underway - Raymarine, US on July 14, 2014 at 2:11pm No, the ST8001 is not compatible with the Type 300 course computer.  Other than the RP650, for rotary option, the ST6001/2 and ST7001/2. END– My problem: The drive disconnects intermittently and display goes to standby,seems to happen more often the longer it's on. The ST8001 is in the cockpit,a ST6000 is a repeater at the nav. station. Taking the ST6000 out of the loop seems to make no difference. |
