RE: [CA] Can a Es125 and a Gs165 share a radar?
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Steve,
When interfaced via an Ethernet network, the eS-Series MFDs and gS-Series MFDs are designed to share all system resources (except for NTSC/PAL video) and data. Should one of the gS-Series Ethernet Network sockets not be currently in use, then Ethernet Network socket of the gS-Series MFD may be interfaced to one of the Ethernet Network sockets of the eS-Series MFD via an appropriate length of RayNet (F) to RayNet (F) Cable. However, should all of the Ethernet Network sockets of the gS-Series MFD be utilized, then it would be recommended that the cable that the Digital Radar Cable be interfaced to a HS5 RayNet Network Switch. Then one Ethernet Network socket of the eS-Series MFD and one Ethernet Network socket of the gS-Series MFD would each be interfaced to the HS5 RayNet Network Switch via an appropriate length of RayNet (F) to RayNet (F) Cable. |
