Please note that this is the first such report of a DSC position report from a NMEA 2000 / SeaTalkng data source not matching that received by a DSC VHF radio. Following the receipt of this report, we tested a Raymarine MFD updated with v16.47 software which was interfaced via NMEA 2000 / SeaTalkng to a DSC VHF radio (Ray70) and found that the position report specified by MFD's alert matched that of the DSC VHF radio. As no prior reports of this problem have been received, it is recommended that a NMEA 2000 / SeaTalkng analyzer (ex. Actisense NGT-1 w/NMEAReader software, etc.) be interfaced to the SeaTalkng / NMEA 2000 backbone to monitor the DSC messaging PGNs to determine whether the coordinates within the 129808 DSC Call Information PGN match the position report on the VHF radio's display.
