[CA] Integration AIS650 in existing NMEA0183 system
Hello,
I bought a used Sailing boat. Now my subject is to connect a brand new AIS650 to an existing system which is made as follows: 1. MFD C120classic + Radar 2. IS15 (Simrad) 3. AP11 Autopilot (Simrad) 4. RS35 VHF (Simrad) Actual the “bridge†C120 to the rest of the system is made by a connection between C120 NMEA-Port and the second NMEA-Port of the AP11 (in both directions) to send the fast HDG to MFD. Parallel to this connection the output Tx of C120 is connected to input Rx of IS15. The VHF is actually a separate “islandâ€, gets a GPS-Signal by an own source. I just bought a Multiplexer ACTISENSE NDC-4 to get an integrated system. Reading the manual AIS650 I´m not sure about the characteristics of the internal MUX, means which NMEA-sentences are able to cross the AIS650 from 4.800-port to 38.400-port in both directions. Questions: 1. Could somebody provide me with a list, which NMEA-sentences are able to cross the AIS650 from 4.800-port to 38.400-port in both directions 2. Maybe you can recommend a configuration for my system including VHF to get full functionality. Thx in advance. Axel (Sailing boat JANTAR33) |
