[CA11] a125 reboots on second card insertion

I have an a125 MFD.
One slot is populated with a Navionics card.
I want to use the second, for backup, tracks, etc.

As I insert the second card, 4gb or 8gb, formatted FAT32 and clean, the a125 sits there - looking dead for about 20 to 30 seconds, then just reboots.

It will continue like this, until I remove the blank card. then it works just fine.

If I do not have the Navionics card in - and just this blank one, it starts and operates just fine.

Any ideas around this?
