RE: [TG11] ST50 wind to NMEA 2000
Hello Laurent,
ST50 instruments talk Seatalk (Raymarine-proprietary), whereas the NGW-1 talks NMEA0183 and NMEA2000. NMEA0183 and Seatalk are very different - an NGW-1 won't talk Seatalk, don't try it or you could perhaps damage the NGW-1. Seatalk is not just 0183 under another name. You need a Raymarine Seatalk1-SeatalkNG convertor, part E22158, to convert ST50 to NMEA2000/STNG. Regards, Tom Raymarine since 1999. Interests: Diagnosis of problems in sonar/fishfinders, NMEA2000, ethernet comms, autopilots, thermal cameras Location: Sydney, Australia. Please don't PM me asking for direct support, please ask a public question instead so that others can see the question and answer. Forum posts will always be answered before PM requests. |
