[CA11] Readings at planing speeds.
I have DS600X with an Airmar P66 transducer. I mounted the transducer according full the manufacturer's instructions, with about an 1/8 inch showing below the transom. It's mounted on an 1999 18' Lund Alaskan SS with a 1999 johnson 2 stroke 40.
I get depth readings at slower speed, maybe up to 10 to 12 knots, especially if the boat is fully loaded. If im alone, and cruising at 18 to 20 knots, i lose the depth reading. Is it unrealistic to expect to be able to get readings at higher speeds? Are there things i can do to promote this? |
