RE: [CA11] Voyage Planner software
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum sailM27,

Q1. Is it possible to connect to PC directly from Axiom 9 without using a network switch if PC is only device connected to Axiom?
A1. It is neither possible to connect a PC directly to an Axiom MFD nor to the network switch to communicate communicate with or access data from a a system featuring an Axiom MFD. Should access to GPS, instrument, or navigational data from a system featuring an Axiom MFD be desired, then it would be recommended that one utilize PC Navigational application supporting NMEA 2000 communications and that a NMEA 2000 to PC interface (ex. Actisense NGT-1) be interfaced as a spur to the system's powered and properly terminated SeaTalkng / NMEA 2000 backbone. While Voyage Planner PC navigational planning software is designed for offline planning of waypoints and routes and then transferring such data to the MFD via a microSD memory card, it is not designed to be interfaced directly to the marine electronics system.

Q2. I have Axiom bundled with Navionics charts. Can I use same charts on PC that has Raymarine Voyage Planner software ? How ?
A2. Yes. The charts from the Navionics chart card will be loaded from the Navionics chart card into the PC using the Charts->Install Charts feature (the PC must have access to the Internet when executing chart installation). Once loaded into Voyage Planner, the Navionics chart card may be returned to the MFD's memory card reader or boat, where it remain for use when using the MFD's Chart application.
