It is certainly possible to create your system in stages. In this case, it would be recommended that you consider purchasing the 1kW CP370 compatible transducer which you ultimately plan to use and then adapt it for use with either the Axiom DV or Axiom RV MFD to be purchased. These MFDs will support driving the adapted 1kW 50kHz/200khz transducer with 600W of power. This should permit sounding in depths approaching 1000' (50kHz). As budget permits, the DV or RV transducer and CP370 may be added to the system. A the point which the CP370 is added to the system, the 1kW CP370 compatible transducer may be disconnected from the MFD and will instead be interfaced directly to the CP370. The CP370 would be interfaced to the MFD via an appropriate length of RayNet (F) to RayNet (F) Cable.
