RE: [CA11] Raymarine A128 and S1G to NMEA 2000
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Tim,
In order to use a p70/p70R/p70S/p70RS Autopilot Control Head with a S1/S1G/S2/S2G/S3/S3G autopilot course computer, the autopilot control head must be interfaced to a SeaTalk bus which is directly connected to one of the autopilot course computer's SeaTalk ports. When the system features a S1/S1G/S2/S2G/S3/S3G autopilot course computer, the p70/p70R/p70S/p70RS Autopilot Control Head should not be connected to a spur socket (white) within the system's powered and properly terminated SeaTalkng / NMEA 2000 backbone. If a ST-STng Converter (w/latest software update) is installed and the Garmin 741xs units are also interfaced to the SeaTalkng / NMEA 2000 backbone, then the NMEA 0183 interface to the Garmin units may be eliminated. |
