Thank you for your enquiry. The ST70 product has a setting called MASTERSHIP, this enables it to operate in SEATALK1 mode and so can be connected direct via SeaTalk1 to the Smartpilot course computer. The Raypilot 650 control unit can be used with the Smartpilot, however, it will only control the autopilot, you cannot use it to modify any calibration settings. The fluxgate compass should ALWAYS be connected direct to the Smartpilot course computer The control units are connected to SeaTalk1 only, which is then connected direct to the Smartpilot course computer The Autopilot is calibrated through the control unit, not the MFD Thanks Derek |
