RE: [CA11] C140W slow to respond
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum David,
Please note that Raymarine, Inc. does not sell Navionics chart cards. Navionics is owned by Garmin and Navionics chart cards are sold through the Navionics dealer network. As Raymarine MFD support use of Navionics cartography, most Raymarine dealers are also Navionics dealers. Please note that it is not recommended that a track which has been started be left on indefinitely. It is typically recommended that a track which has been started be stopped every 24 hours or at the end of each day on the water. To address the reported issue, it would be recommended that a track which has been started, be stopped, and deleted or saved. Should the problem persist, then it would be recommended that the MFD's settings be noted, that the MFD's waypoints, routes, and tracks be saved to a CF memory card and that a System Settings and Data Reset be be commanded to restore operation of the MFD. Should the problem persist thereafter, then it may indicate a problem with the chart card or with the MFD's memory card reader. It would be recommended that you first try to update the Navionics NAV+ chart card with Navionics Freshest Data updates. Should this fail to address the problem, then it would be recommended that the MFD be tested with another Navionics chart card which was known to be operational. Should the problem be then be duplicated with the other chart card, then it would appear that the MFD's memory card reader is failing, necessitating replacement of the MFD, as Raymarine can no longer service C/E-Series Widescreen MFDs. |
