[CA11] Transducers - bronze or plastic?
I upgraded to 2x Axiom 7's (RV) last year on my 210 Whaler Outrage (20 degree deadrise). The RV-100 mounted off the transom (port side) loses depth at speed but bigger issue is it kicks up a lot of spray on plane.
I know if I moved it the starboard side it would probably be more stable holding the bottom but the spray issue will remain. Therefore I'm considering going with either the RV-220 bronze pack or RV-320 plastic pack. I have no flat areas on my hull so my understanding is I need the pair/pack. Which would you recommend? I also see a new product - RV-420 in stainless. What can you tell me about that? Help me decide please? I boat on Georgian Bay in Canada where max depth offshore is only up to about 300-400ft MAX.
