RE: [CA11] RAY 90 with passive GA 150
Q1) Does Radio Ray90 or 91 has a built in GPS antenna? Is it necessary a external GA150 antenna?
A1) The Ray90/91 includes a built-in GNSS (GPS) receiver requiring an external GA150 antenna. The Ray90/91 can also utilize GPS data from a SeaTalkng / NMEA 2000 or NMEA 0183 source. Q2) Does Ray 90 or 91 share the GPS signal with a Axiom XL by SeatalkNG? A2) Negative. Q3) Does the Axiom XL share the GPS signal with Ray 90 or 91? A3) Yes, this is possible Q4) The client wants a backup GPS signal, my idea is conect the Axiom XL with Ray 90 or 91 by SeatalNg and a RS150 Antena and conect A GA150 as a backup on Radio 90, but I,m not sure if works. A4) Your suggested solution would indeed be the means of providing GPS data throughout the system. Should you be seeking redundant GPS for the Axiom XL MFD, then it would be recommended that it also be interfaced to a GA150 GPS Antenna. Q5) Does The Ray91 share the AIS Signal with Axiom by SeatalkNG? A5) Yes |
