RE: [CA11] GPS Rollover date 2019
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum svanetempest,

While many AIS transceivers support transmission of GPS data via their 38400 BAUD NMEA 0183 port, most will default this feature to OFF. This is because AIS transceivers typically do not support transmission of the full set of data which a would be transmitted by a marine electronics system's GPS receiver, MFD (having an internal GPS receiver), chartplotter (having and internal GPS receiver), or GPS display. One of the key pieces of missing data typically omitted from 38400 BAUD NMEA 0183 transmissions from an AIS transceiver are date and time data ... specifically the data item which would be affected by GPS rollover. Accordingly, Raymarine AIS transceivers are defaulted to not included GNSS sentences within their 38400 BAUD NMEA 0183 transmissions. Raymarine AIS transceivers do not support transmission of GPS data to a SeaTalkng / NMEA 2000 network.
