Indeed selection of an incorrect boat type or bypassing the Startup Wizard may block access to the sailing features. As you have suggested, the only way to then make these features accessible would be to perform a Factory Reset, complete the Startup Wizard ... and during which select one of the sailing vessel options provided.

The system support selection of polars and if the polars for one's vessel are not included within the latest LightHouse 3 software release, then customers may submit their boat's polars to [email protected] to be considered for inclusion within a future LightHouse 3 softwarse update. The laylines feature requires that the system feature sources of GPS data, wind data, and speed through water (STW) data.
