RE: [CA11] 2004 Mainship Pilot 34 Rum Runner Axiom 9
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum wlsnow100,
Q. I connected the AIS 700 to the seatalk network and thought that it would regognize the position like the other instruments. If i connect the gps to the AIS700 can I avoid two different gps positions? how?? A. Please note that the AIS700 is not dependent upon nor can it be configured to utilized an external NMEA 2000 / SeaTalk / NMEA 0183 GPS data source for its operation. Like all Class B AIS transceivers, the AIS700 is dependent upon its own internal GPS receiver which requires GPS signal which is gathered via the supplied antenna. |
