Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Jon,

This problem had been initially reported in conjunction with early AIS650 softwware. It is accordingly recommended that the diagnostics tab of ProAIS software be used to verify that the AIS650 has been updated with the latest available Raymarine product software update and if not, that its software be updated using an SD memory card. Should you have done so and should the problem persist, then it would be recommended that the AIS650 be sent to Raymarine’s Product Repair Center to be bench checked / serviced.
