RE: [CA11] C70 Classic to Standard Horizon VHF
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Beneteau343,
Q. it looks like the only connection opportunity is to connect via the MFD's NMEA 0183 port. Is that accurate? A. Correct. Please click here to view a FAQ addressing this subject. To interface these products to one another: - connect the MFD's NMEA 0183 OUT+ (yellow) lead to the NMEA 0183 IN+ (blue) lead of the GX2200 - connect the MFD's NMEA 0183 OUT- (brown) lead to the NMEA 0183 IN- (green) lead of the GX2200 - connect the MFD's NMEA 0183 IN+ (white) lead to the NMEA 0183 OUT+ (gray) lead of the GX2200 - connect the MFD's NMEA 0183 IN- (green) lead to the NMEA 0183 OUT- (brown) lead of the GX2200 - Configure the GX2200's NMEA DATA IN/OUT setting to 38400 BPS. - Configure the MFD's NMEA 0183 NMEA Port Setting to AIS 38400. - To view AIS objects within the MFD's Chart application, configure the AIS objects layer to ON, and verify that the MFD is receiving a GPS position FIX via the MFD's GPS Status dialog. |
