RE: [CA11] Axiom and NMEA-0183
Welcome back to the Raymarine Forum jwasko,

If simply seeking to provide 4800 BAUD GPS data to a VHF radio, SSB, EPIRB, etc. then it would be recommended that an E70196 VHF NMEA 0183 to STng Converter Kit be installed as a backbone component. As the 4800 BAUD NMEA 0183 output of Raymarine products may typically be paralleled to supply up to four NMEA 0183 listeners with data, this networking component may get you well down the path to supplying NMEA 0183 listeners with GPS data. A number of third party bidirectional NMEA 0183 to NMEA 2000 data bridging devices are available in the marketplace. Among the most commonly used devices NMEA 0183 to NMEA 2000 data bridging devices are the following:

- Actisense NGW-1-STNG ... for applications requiring one-way or bidirectional 4800 BAUD NMEA 0183 data bridging

- Actisense NGW-1-ISO-AIS ... for applications requiring one-way or bidirectional 38400 BAUD NMEA 0183 data bridging (ex. AIS receiver/transceiver, DSC VHF Radio/AIS transceiver, etc.)
