Very possibly neither. 'No comp' means no compass, which indicates a Course Computer fault (I can't see what model you have) or more likely the fluxgate compass. Fluxgates have a number of very fine wire windings and are prone to brittle breaks after many years of movement in their gimbals. If you test your fluxgate, I suspect you will find that one of the measurements reads short-circuit or open-circuit, which will prove that it is the fluxgate. Regards, Tom Raymarine since 1999.
