The ST4000+ control unit will not work with the SPX-5 course computer directly. The ST4000+ control unit is a control head and course computer all-in-one, so you can't add an additional course computer in the system. You would next to replace the ST4000+ control unit with the ST6002+ control head to control the X5 course computer. You will be able to use the MKII with either system.
