Interfacing a Raymarine product's NMEA 0183 port to more than one device

The 4800 BAUD NMEA 0183 output of Raymarine products may be paralleled to supply data to up to three 4800 BAUD NMEA 0183 listeners (see the example chart below). Should the 4800 BAUD NMEA 0183 output of a Raymarine product need to be transmitted to more than three 4800 BAUD NMEA 0183 listeners, then a NMEA 0183 expander (ex. Noland SX-14, Actisense NBF-3, Dutec NX-100, etc.) may need to be installed between the Raymarine product's 4800 BAUD NMEA 0183 output port and the NMEA 0183 listener's.

Should a Raymarine product need to receive data from more than one NMEA 0183 Talker and should the Raymarine product not have an available NMEA input port for each NMEA 0183 Talker, then it would be necessary to install a NMEA 0183 multiplexer(s) (ex. Raymarine E55059 4800 BAUD NMEA 0183 Multiplexer, Actisense NDC-4-USB, etc.) between the NMEA 0183 output ports of the NMEA 0183 Talkers and the NMEA 0183 input port of the Rayarine product.
