RE: P70R
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Jim,
The S1 Autopilot required the following items to use the autopilot's in Auto mode - autopilot control head ... may be interfaced directly to one of the autopilot course computer's SeaTalk ports or to a SeaTalk bus (a SeaTalk bus interfaces two or more devices having a SeaTalk communications interface), which in turn was interfaced to one of the course computer's SeaTalk ports. An A22164 SeaTalkng Spur to SeaTalk Cable, D244 SeaTalk Junction Block, and appropriate length of SeaTalk Cable having press-fit 3-pin female plugs on each end of the cable will need to be sourced. The white plug of the A22164 SeaTalkng Spur Cable will be connected to either of the p70R's SeaTalkng sockets. The press fit 3-pin plug of the A22164 SeaTalkng Spur Cable and SeaTalk Cable will each be connected to the D244 SeaTalk Junction Block. The other end of the SeaTalk Cable will either will be connected a D224 or available SeaTalk socket of another device within the SeaTalk bus or to a SeaTalk port of the autopilot course computer (requires that the plug be cut off and that the cable's sheathing stripped back to reveal its three leads which will be inserted into the matching color coded terminals of the autopilot course computer's SeaTalk port. - fluxgate compass ... interfaced to the autopilot course computer's compass terminals - rudder reference transducer ... interfaced to the autopilot course computer's rudder terminals The S1 Autopilot additionally required a GPS display or chart plotting device to supply navigational data if it was desired to use the autopilot's Track mode |
