Yes, that's it: each data type for which there are commonly more than one source on a boat - engines, fuel tanks, water tanks, batteries etc. has an Instance field that needs to be configured correctly.

Raymarine since 1999.
Interests: Diagnosis of problems in sonar/fishfinders, NMEA2000, ethernet comms, autopilots, thermal cameras
