Being on the high end of capacity, I always recommend going to the next higher capacity system because of operating the autopilot in heavy seas and longer life. This autopilot would be the Type 1 hydraulic, EV-200. You have supplied the ST5000+ control unit information but nothing on the drive used in the system. I am assuming it is a Type 1 pump, M81120/M81190, please advise.

You are correct the ST 5000 + Pump is a Type 1, but the model is E12050. Found the Pump, never been that far into the that area. I see signs of oil, but it must be old, as I never had to add any fluid other than when it was bleed.

The Sea Star HC5358, NOT 5345 as indicated above.

I have the EV 100 in a box ready to install based on recommendation from Raymarine representative at the Annapolis boat show, but they did not ask me my Sea Star model number.

Can you please confirm the most appropriate unit for my hydraulic steering system?
