Adding fishfinder features within a system of MFDs running LightHouse II SW

Raymarine's a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFDs operating with the latest LightHouse II software update are designed to support multiple fishfinder sounding devices within the system. Accordingly, it is possible for a single a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFD to support one or all of the following types of fishfinder technology when properly accessorized:
- 600W ClearPulse 50/200kHz Fishfinder Sounding
- 600' CHIRP/DownVision Fishfinder Sounding
- 1kW ClearPulse 50/200kHz Fishfinder Sounding
- SideVision Fishfinder Sounding
- High Power CHIRP Sounding

Raymarine's ax5/cx5/e7/ex5/eSx5/gS-Series MFDs feature no internal fishinder circuitry. Accordingly, should one desire to add fishfinder features to one of these MFDs, then one may do so interfacing the MFD via Ethernet to any of the following products:

- an ax7/cx7/e7D/ex7/eSx7 MFD which has in turn been interfaced to a compatible 50kHz/200kHz fishfinder transducer

- an ax8/eSx8 MFD which in turn has in turn been interfaced to a compatible DownVision or CPT-S fishfinder transducer

- a CP370, CP300 (retired), DSM30 (retired), or DSM300 (retired) 50kHz/200kHz Fishfinder Sounder Module which has in turn been interfaced to a compatible 50kHz/200kHz fishfinder transducer

- a CP470, CP570, or CP450C (retired) High Power CHIRP Fishfinder Sounder Module, which in turn has been interfaced to a compatible high power CHIRP transducer(s)

- a CP100 DownVision Sounder Module which in turn has in turn been interfaced to a compatible DownVision or CPT-S fishfinder transducer

- a CP200 SideVision Sounder Module which in turn has been interfaced to a CPT-200 SideVision Transducer. As this feature is designed to support SideVision fishfinder imaging, depth data is not produced by this product.

When creating a system featuring a single MFD, fishfinder features be supported within the system as follows:

- 600W ClearPulse 50/200kHz Fishfinder Sounder features: Installing an ax7/cx7/e7D/ex7/eSx7 MFD w/compatible 50kHz/200kHz fishfinder transducer. Transducers designed for use with a CP370, CP300, DSM300, DSM30, or DSM250 may be adapted to mate to the MFD's Transducer socket by installing an E66066 Transducer Adapter Cable

- 600' CHIRP/DownVision Fishfinder Sounder Features:
----- install an ax8/eSx8 MFD w/compatible DownVision or CPT-S fishfinder transducer or
----- install any model of a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFD and a CP100 DownVision Fishfinder Sounder Module w/compatible DownVision or CPT-S fishfinder transducer.

- 1kW 50/200kHz Fishfinder Sounder features: Install any model of a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFD and a CP370 (or CP300 or DSM300, both retired) w/compatible 1kW or 2kW 50kHz/200kHz fishfinder transducer.

- SideVision Fishfinder Sounder Features: Install any model of a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFD and a CP200 w/CPT-200 transducer

- High Power CHIRP: Install Install any model of a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFD and a CP470 or CP570 w/compatible high power CHIRP transducer(s)

NOTE: The ax5/cx5/e7/ex5/eSx5/gSx5 MFDs have no internal fishfinder sounder circuitry. With the exception of NTSC/PAL video, all other system data and resources (ex. fishfinder sonar, radar, cartography, etc.) are shared among networked a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFDs. As such, should the a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFD system already support fishfinding features, additional displays supporting these same fishfinding features may be added to the system by simply adding ax5/cx5/e7/ex5/eSx5/gSx5 MFD(s) to the system's Ethernet network.

NOTE: The DSM250 is not compatible with a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFDs.

NOTE: It is not possible to utilize an instrument depth transducer (analog, SeaTalkng, or NMEA 0183/NMEA 2000 Smart Transducer) to support an a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFD's fishfinder features.
