MFDs are exclusively capable of calibrating, configuring offsets, configuring alarms associated with the data produced by fishfinder transducers (which may additionally have temperature and/or speed sensing capability) which have been interfaced to the transducer socket of a MFD or fishfinder sonar module. Instrument transducers which have been interfaced to an iTC-5 or ST70/ST290 pod cannot be calibrated by MFDs. An i70S MFID, i70 MFID (retired), or ST70 MFID (retired) must be installed within the system to permit the data associated with the transducer to be visible to the rest of the system, to be calibrated, and to configure any alarms or offsets associated with the data produced by the transducer.
