Welcome to the Raymarine Forum wholybee,
When monitoring depth, the symbols (arrowheads) which you have referenced are indicating decreasing or increasing depth respectively. Similarly, the shallow alarm will feature a downward pointing arrowhead, while the deep alarm will feature an upward pointing arrowhead. |
