Thank you for your enquiry,

The ST4000 Autopilot had all the computing functions and power electronics contained in the ST4000 Control head and so without it, all you have is a drive unit and compass sensor. The e7D will not be able to control or activate the drive unit directly.

The alternative is to purchase the EV1 sensor and the ACU100, these components will connect to the tiller drive unit and to the e7D, the compass sensor from the old ST4000 will not be required.
